How to play
Deepcut Duel is a trivia game where less familiar correct answers earn more points.
Play a round
Each game has five questions. You have 30 seconds per question. Type to see suggestions and tap one to pick it. You can change your pick until time runs out, and whatever is picked then counts. Tap your pick again to lock it in early. No pick when time runs out scores zero.
Score your answers
| Sticker | How familiar? |
|---|---|
| 1Chart Topper | Almost everyone says it |
| 3Radio Hit | Very well known |
| 8Album Track | Known by many |
| 15B-Side | Less familiar |
| 25Deep Cut | Quite obscure |
| 40White Label | The rarest finds |
The maximum score is 200. Correct answers have been assigned tiers ahead of time; these tiers are editorial estimates of familiarity, not live player statistics.
The daily dig
The game on the home page plays the same scoring with its own treasures: Copper Coin, Silver Watch, Amber, Scarab, Star Crystal and Crown, from 1 to 40 points. You get 25 seconds per question and type your answer. A wrong answer hits solid rock, so try another until time runs out. After four letters, matching correct answers appear so you can tap one. Sports and 1v1 games use the 30-second rules above.
Daily and Unlimited
Daily resets at 00:00 UTC, with the same five questions for everyone. Unlimited selects a random set whenever you start another round.
Each question uses a complete list from a published source. Suggestions appear after you type two letters.
